Language – French
Translation – The castle of Laze
Michel Polnareff was arguably one of the most talented musicians in France in the 1960s. In my humble opinion, anyway. This song from 1967 is just gorgeous. You can read some more about him here, but it’s a bit sad… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Polnareff
Below is my absolute favourite Michel Polnareff track, but even though it is in English I thought I’d add it here because I’m in a good mood, and quite frankly you need to hear it! **Nerd alert** On the mono 7-inch version of this song you can really hear a fuzz guitar or bass or something which is so loud – it’s great! This version must be in stereo, I reckon…
I just discovered this blog. Polnareff has such a fantastic voice. I’ve been a fan of his for quite some time now. This song is just so hauntingly beautiful. Nice. NICE post. Thank you!

Oh, thank you Catherine. I’m glad you like it! The ambition to fill the year with foreign-language music kind of ground to a halt last October. I’m debating how to continue…

Aww…thanks! And it’s just me, Jen. Which is why I am behind with it all, lol! Thank you for your encouragement! I might just start again from this year instead 🙂
